about

All Memories Are Empty is a music project created by Paul Graziano and John Houlihan. It was written in 2002 and recorded in 2003-2004 at the instigation of Carmine Famiglietti, writer/director of Lbs., an independent film (www.lbsthemovie.com). Lighten the Load (Track #6) is a featured song in Lbs.

Shown at many film festivals including Sundance, Deep Ellum (Best Feature Film) and Avignon (Audience Award), Lbs. was nominated for the John Cassavetes Award (Best Film under $500,000) at the Independent Spirit Awards to be held on February 26th, 2011.

Author's Note: Contrary to what may seem to be an album title dripping with emotional gravity and meaning, it's actually named for something completely different: The bassist for Paul and John's old band Stapler (staplermusic.bandcamp.com) - Seth - owned an early Japanese cellphone steeped in inaccurate grammar and spelling. Hence, instead of "There are no messages" it displayed "All Memories are Empty" in classic Engrish format.

Check out John's latest band, Risk/Reward (riskreward.bandcamp.com) and Paul's latest projects The Worthy Few (theworthyfew.bandcamp.com) and Snow What (snowwhat.bandcamp.com).
